Birthday treats for Grove visitors

Grove Wellbeing Centre celebrated its first birthday in October 2009 by offering free ‘taster’ sessions in spinning, boxercise and circuits, Pilates, yoga and advanced yoga.

“We wanted to say thank you to everyone who has visited the centre and encourage those who haven’t yet paid us a visit to do so," said leisure centre manager Adrian Walker.

“The Grove Wellbeing Centre was officially opened in autumn 2008 and has quickly established itself as a proactive example of partnership working. The facility actively serves the local community and has continued to develop its services during 2009."

Gold medallist in the Paralympics, Michael McKillop, joined in with the birthday celebrations at the centre and is pictured here with young visitor Courtney Mullan, leisure centre manager Adrian Walker and library branch manager Diane Lee.



New soft play area opened

22 October 2008

We are pleased to announce that the jungle-themed soft play area in our leisure centre is now open.

Spread over three floors and spanning more than 900 cubic metres, the area includes 80 features to entertain children aged one to 11.

Grove Wellbeing Centre partially closed due to flooding
