Visual and hearing impairments

If you enjoy reading but suffer from sight loss, we have a range of large print and audio books on CD or cassette.

We also have a specially adapted computer for those with visual impairments.

Our staff can also provide advice on talking book services, which allow you to ‘listen’ to your favourite books using a special player.

We also have an induction loop system for those with hearing difficulties.

Other services

Our counter and layout are designed to allow easy wheelchair access for our users.

We also offer a home call service for older or disabled members who are unable to visit the library.
