Frequently asked questions

My child is behaving badly. What can I do?

One in five two-year-olds has a tantrum at least twice a day.

The so-called `terrible twos` are a normal part of a child`s development.

Be firm and find a positive way to deal with your child when he or she has a tantrum and plan to avoid the causes of their bad behaviour.

Talk to your health visitor if you feel that things are getting out of control.

A health visitor is available in the health centre in Grove Wellbeing Centre on Wednesdays from 2pm to 3.30pm.

If you don`t know who your health visitor is, contact your doctor`s surgery.

You can also ring the Parents` Advice Centre on 0808 801 0722 for help and advice.
