I have recently given birth. How do I get a health visitor?

A health visitor will visit you after your baby is ten days old.

She is usually attached to your doctor`s surgery but could be based elsewhere.

You can be referred to a health visitor by your doctor or other healthcare professional. You can also refer yourself.

If you don`t know who your health visitor is, contact your doctor`s surgery.
